Hey folks, just checking in - bought a 2003 GP GT about a month ago - kind of a desperation move, as I limped into a dealer with a dying Taurus. I needed a car to get back on the road, as I drive for a living now. The car is pretty clean, 75k miles, probably paid a little too much for it, but it's a done deal now.

I used to be a mechanic, and sought ought one of my old GM techs to replace the upper and lower intake - in order to be proactive and not end up with a problem. Seems that after making arrangements with him to replace them he more or less became scarce the weekend this work was to be done. So, I did the job myself, at home. Anyway, everything seems to be good now and look forward to being on this site.

I know - it's not like he wasn't going to be paid for this job. He's done quite a bit of side work for me over the years. It was kind of a hot weekend, I can see how you wouldn't want to do this job on your day off and in hot weather. I just wish he would have answered the phone and told me he didn't want to do it.
