a couple of weeks ago that weather was pretty nasty on vancouver island. i was in nanaimo for the morning and got snowed on for most of that time. as i headed back home to cumberland the waether got better and better until i was about 10-15km from home. the road was dry and the sun had come out. i was minding my own business and driving the 110Km/h limit when i noticed in my rear view mirror a brand new twin turbo ford focus at full throttle rappidly overtaking me. as he got beside me i punched it! it took me less than a couple of seconds to equal his speed (196Km/h) , then i signaled that i was moving into the other lane (we were both in the passing lane). he moved over to the other lane first and that's were i found out my new top speed after last summer's mods is 237Km/h! after i blasted past him and left him far..... behind i slowed back down to the speed limit. took him about half a minute to pass me again, still going at full throttle. who ever you are, your going to lose your car if you push it too long!

As far as the TT focus goes. That dude must know some people that know some people that rob some people.
 
yes, i went almost 150 mph. i don't do alot of high speed runs and keep them to a limit on time, tranny has been serviced and you can monitor the temps with this car so everythings fine. i have plans for some more upgrades in the future, but she's a fine car right now.
 


mods are..........chip reflash, k&n cai,the other guys headers, random technologies high flow cat, header wrap,e3 spark plugs,ngk plug wires,quick change pulley 3.6",billet motor mounts and body supports.

You mean a tune? You can't "chip" these cars.

... Correct if Im wrong... but you have intake, headers, plugs & wires, a PCM tune and you spent the money to get a modular pulley system but stayed with the stock size pulley.... and still went 150mph... wow wait til you get a 3.4"
 
Since when is a 3.6 stock? Lol. I have very similar mods and it took me FOREVER to get to 130, I'm not gonna call you a liar but I cannot imagine how long that took you, that is unless you were going straight down a mountain.

Edit: and I'm assuming he has an 04+ since he went with a 3.6.
 
Yea sure he prob hit that. I hit 127mph back when i was n/a and i still could of gone a couple of mph more too.
 


man, you sure get alot of weird comments when you tell a kill story. i'm telling the truth, why would i have to lie. if you don't believe me, that okay by me.
i was there and 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp compG 's have the Heads Up Display. when i was following him i was doing 196Km/h, when i stopped accelerating the HUD said 237 Km/h. the air here is cold and dense this time of the year, maybe in the summer i won't be able to get as fast but in early march, on vancouver island, on highway 19, on a very long straight section of the highway, i was doing 237Km/h
 
I agree no turbo focus out yet.
olny the ECOBOOST which isnt turbo, its 150hp n/a engine. ecoboost is fords new tech
new ford taurus has twin turbo,have fun keeping up!
