new england pontiac tribute show

Yes it is down??? I have no idea why..thought it was me.

But on top of it..I am surprised to see this here..thanks for the posting..
I am the one trying to plan this.

First off I am waiting to hear back from the UNO's in Waltham about the show. There is a meet there tomm. at 4 so maybe will find out then. But the site has been down so who knows. ANd my GXP got hit. so kinda dealing with that now.

Now about the show:
It was to be at the Park but the City and a preservation planner crapped out on that idea.
I talked to a few people about DJ's and sponsorships and all that. WAY to expensive for this if it turns out small. And did not want to charge people and all that BS.

The idea so far is this..

It is an ALL GM Event! Focus on Pontiac.

It is going to be an almost 100% online messageboards/forums invite. So once the word is GO please if your on another GM board let it be known!
GM car,truck or boat..jk about the boat. But any site that is GM we welcome them.

We will have about 1 month to get it together. And I can see there is a lot of interest.

So someone either myself or the OP will keep this updated.


The idea is now just a tribute day..ground level all about the cars. If this is big...maybe next year we bump it up more. But this will be about cool cars at a cool place to get some good food!

If anyone has Pontiac stuff that we could use for the show, flags banners or what not..or wearing your club shirts..or a Pontiac shirt..

Lets get this free fun one off the ground and see where it goes from there! Any questions just ask!:th_thumbsup-wink: And again thanks for the posting!
 


and just throwing it out there..anyone up for a 15-20 min. backroad cruise from the Uno's to a local cruise night spot on that Sat?

Imagine seeing a bunch of Pontiacs going down the road at one time. Rolling into the place. The Place is Riley's Roast Beef in Framingham. I will try and contact them about it see if we can set that up??

Nice i would have lov to have gone to the event at unos but i was replacing my coil pack on my car :( but about the show i am so there lol i dont care if i have to tow my car there lol
 
not sure,there is a all pontiac show may 16th at barbarinos in wallingford from 9 to 3 i go every year if you guys are interested let me know,we can drive down as a group
 


OK GOOD NEWS..

:th_thumb-up: Been trying to get in touch with the wrong person. But got the right person. She picked up the phone and is the marketing/planner. So lucked out.

She said that June 5th or 6th is open. And told her about the day and she said its no problem and would help out any way we needed it. Just had to have the morning meeting and make sure everything is good and not something not told about. But I think were good.

Now as I was thinking that saturday the 5th. from 11AM to 3PM then cruise to Redline Diner (Form. Riley's Roast Beef) From 3:30PM to whenever. ITs about a 15 min cruise on Rt 20 then a nice winding backroad. Imagine a bunch of Pontiacs and GM cars rolling down the road at once.


Now we got 1 month to advertise about this. Not to much time but enough to get things going. It will be mostly an online promo so if your on any other GM forum. post it up there and spread the word. All GM event.




Again guys any spreading the word is a big help. And if you could help at the event that would be cool to.

And again guys we have exactly 1 month to get the word out. So any sites that your on please spread the word this is a go for all of GM. and if you can try and post if you got a bunch of cars comming. As UNO's would like to know how many might be there to be ready for a large group..and to have a rough idea of how much to plan for space. Jump on over to NEPontiac.org to keep the count hopefully in one place.

Also anyone with help with paper fliers for local places please that would be great and also if anyone has anything Pontiac they could bring..flags or what not...that would be good too!

So its gonna be june 5th?? because i have some people waiting on the date. < never mind i just read ya post in nepontiac.org posted up on all the forums and now its just to see how many hits i get if i have any other questions ill will contact you

the site is up,i will find out and let ya know,just a reminder next sunday at barbarinos in wallingford is a all pontiac show from 9-3,if anyone wants to go send me a pm and we can meet on rt 5 and head there together,there is a grand am club that comes every year from mass.
