New Dodge Dart

Alright, we're familiar with the concept now of taking an old car, making it fat and "retro" and then selling it thinking it's cool. We've done it now with numerous cars, and will probably see it continue.
But this... this is so much worse. I heard Dodge was releasing a new Dodge Dart, so I went and checked in expecting to see a fat, retro-looking dart. Nope. Just an Alfa Romeo.

"Oh hai I'm a 2013 Dart"

I was curious why this was a rant when I saw the title... but Wow... just wow... my day has been ruined

I think the car will be decent for what it is. They shouldn't have named it the Dart though, because it obviously wasn't intended to compete in the market the name would suggest. The Focus ST is going to be a better car IMO.

Should have brough back the Neon name...like Ford did when the Five Hundred didn't sell with the Taurus label...all about brand loyalty. Not that I could see anyone being a loyal Chrysler customer.

I agree with 'poke...it doesn't look THAT bad, and the Alfa it is based on is a great handling car...they just made this one about a foot longer than its Euro counterpart...the interior however, seems stout enough for the market it is shooting for. Wait for an SRT4 Dart...I bet it'll be alright.

For a Dodge.

I personally don't think it looks BAD. It's kinda "cute" but it's certainly not a Dart, and it's a Chrysler product which in itself worries me. Unless it's got a non-chrysler engine, as far as I'm concerned it's screwed.

They should have kept the Caliber name on it imo. It most resembles a Caliber and I feel the Caliber name did at least "O.K." by any standard. I see plenty around here.

when i was kid all i saw on the road were late 60's cars and 70's cars, got my lic in 86, so just like now 10 year old cars were plentiful, we still had chevelles, novas, camaros, impala's, roadrunners, chargers, cordoba's, darts, grand prix's, firebirds, of all years, you name it, it was at the HS parking lot.

so glad i was born when i was.

lets see if they bring back the feather duster lmao. thats a real car btw, google it you youngsters. it had fiberglass fenders, and a slant 6 lol the ones with the 318 weren't to bad.

i hate how they try and bring a the classic car name back then they make it a family sedan like this and the charger, stupid if you ask me.
