i just bought a Jensen double din stereo and one of my friends told me that its possible it could blow my stock amp in my 07 gxp any input?
 


i dont see how it would damage your stock amp granted you dont leave the volume knob at a setting which results in audible distortion.

Distortion is bad for both your equipment and your ears.
 
Perhaps difference in voltage output from swapping head units? I'd think the stock amp has a gain that is pre-determined. But I'm with the other two...nope.
