So, Im in the procesess of rebuilding my fusion, its taken over 2 months due to parts sourcing and other problems.
It should be running by next weekend. I dont really trust the car anymore, and at this point after owning it for a year ive spent as much fixing the car as i have in payments.

I think im going to replace it. I have a few cars im thinking about

i have a 20k budget, would prefer to spend less
all used cars should have less than 60k miles

bmw 3 series (08 up)

g37x 09 up

new sonata eco 1.6t

new accord base model

slightly used civic si

Kia Sorento (2012 up).

Id love to hear thoughts on these cars, suggestions for others.

what are you actually looking for in a car....?

you list seems a bit eclectic.

well the sorento is in there because i love my Sportage, other than that, something with a decent ammount of power, 0-60 under 8 seconds, comfortable ride, engaging to drive, but still moderately practical (no 2 seaters, etc) and reasonable on gas (24mpg highway or above)

If looking at an E9x & wanting some reasonable degree of reliability, stick with a non turbo version. Interiors are bland though & fyi they don't have spare tires. Run flats instead which suck. Better daily would be a low mileage E46 330i $8-10K range but finding < 60k will be tough.

G37x is a nice package but infinity has thin paint/chipping problems - pretty well documented on the forums.

Obvious option is a V6 Camry, they run 14.2's about 98-99mph so enough go for a DD & pretty darn reliable.

I do like the v6 camry but, my aunt had one of that generation and it seems to be riddled with recalls, although she has 150 and no mechanical issues.

what about the accord v6? didnt they make a hybrid v6?
