New CD Deck in 2000 GP GT

Recently my stock cd player stopped playing real and burned cds. I am looking to install a new deck so I can play my ipod off of it. I've been told that installing a new deck will mess up my bose sound system cause each speaker has its own amp or something. Can anyone tell me if installing a new deck will mess up my bose system. thanks in advance
 


no it wont mess up anything. you can buy the harness so you can still use your steering wheel controls if you want to
 
u dont need a bose harness, u just need to attach the power wire for the bose amp to the remote turn on wire on the new harness

Thats why I was confused when Mike said he would have to buy an expensive harness to get his system to work. The magical "pink wire" saves you $100+ :p
 


yes it does! thank god for forums. but if u need to spend a hundred bucks you can just send it my way, i really wouldnt mind :D
