new car ideas

Just keep in mind that the aftermarket for the LS4 powered car sucks...so youll be bored even quicker.

Lol. Yeah I get bored quick. I dunno. Guess ill just have to look into em. I mean my car runs low 14's right now after all the stuff I've done. The gxp cars r runnin that right out of the factory. I think

If you drive em good...one guy down here couldn't get out of 14.8's...just depends.

I say get a WS6 Trans Am...Sex.

I'd say look into a new G8 while you can get em. There pretty nice cars. My dad just purchased one this weekend, it has every option but the V8. I drove it today, really nice interior, handles great, good power for being a 3.6 VVT (though i'd have the GT with the V8), looks better than any jap car out there, I was very impressed with it. I was so impressed with it i'll be looking at picking up a white one in the next few years... V8 for sure though. I think I might of even liked it more that the GTO oddly enough.

There an LS motor so the potential is endless. Just like the GTO or the T/A. You'll run out of money way before you'll run out of mods.

Yeah u know I love the G8. I think those r quite a bit out of my price range though. I'm thinkin right now my best bang for the buck would be a WS6 TA. Just gotta find one. And honestly for me four doors could be a good thing cuz I've got a little baby girl and two doors suck to get car seats in and out of

mustangs are 2 door so good luck with that.

and if you are going to get a mustang, wait till 2011. from what i've seen they look very nice and they actually have a powerful GT motor, not a v8 that makes as much hp as the v6 camaro. they may actually have a 4 door version, but dont quote me on that.

What a four door mustang? Or camaro? Either way that sounds really gay. I wouldn't even want one. But, I've been lookin a lot today at some cars. Problem I'm havin is I'm kinda limited on my choices. My cousin is a new car salesman over at superior chevrolet in shawnee,KS. The way je tells it, he can get me almost any car for close to what the dealership owns it for. And we all know that's a lot lower then what are gonna sell it for. I've looked at their inventory online. They've only got one transam and its a convert. Plus its a 2000. They've got an 06 GTO bit there tryin to get rid of it for like 22K and even with my cousin helpin me I'd be in the hole on that one. They've only got one GXP that I saw. It a 08 and in good shape but its white and I hate white cars. I asked him to check his lot and talk with his bosses to find out if they have any other cars. If I can get a good deal on a car I'd probably go for it. But the problem I'm seein I'd that kbb on my car is only like 5K! And I'm sorry but I'm not takin 5K for my car. I like it too much to see someone screw me out of it

Depending on the miles on your car that sounds about right. You have to understand they are not going to give you the money you have IN your car. And in all honesty some dealers won't even give you NEAR the amount your car is worth if you have alot of performance mods done to it because most dealers will take everything off and tryto sale it. Then they never know if the motor will hold or not. If your car is paid for have you thought about trying to go ahead and get you a new car/truck then sale your GP or part it out then try to sale it. You might get more money out of it that way. And the only reason I say your car is about worth 5k there is 06 SC GP going for 6-8k!

damn 5k is pretty good dude. If it were me, id hold out and get that lightning truck and keep the gp for a nice DD, since it has 4 doors and all.

Meh. Maybe u guys are right. I kinda figured the only way I would get a good sale price on my gtp is if I sold it outright to someone who was lookin for a car like that. I still haven't decided on a car I wanna look for yet so I haven't even figured up some numbers fpr a trade in. Believe me I would take a lightning but they aren't all that easy to come by. Besides my car aint even paid off yet

If I were in your situation, I'd look into a Silverado SS among the other muscle car/truck ideas. They had a decent 6.0 with good aftermarket potential. Plus they're a big roomy ext. cab truck which would be great for the family. They're not so great in MPGs but if a Lightning is also on the menu then I'm guessing that's not really an issue.

I've been seeing '04-'05 models with ~80,000 miles on them for 11-15K.

Well, I think I've decided. You know a while back when I was lookin for a gtp, I knew I was gonna get a 97-03 car. I've just always liked this body style more then the newer ones. But I gotta tell ya, the more I look at these 04+ cars the more I like em. Its like a much upgraded version of the car I got. If there was one thing I would gripe about on my car it would be the el cheapo interior. But the new ones change that. They got a way cooler lookin gauge cluster. Nicer seats. Just nicer. So I've got it in my head I'm gonna look for an 05+ grand prix GXP. Its like my car with a V8. Sounds pretty sweet to me. But honestly I'm not 100% yet. I wanna go test drive one to make sure they are cool cars. I know my car has pretty bad torque steer. Could be worse with a V8. Any thoughts or opinions about the GXP's. Negative or positive

Get a Mustang. I'm biased of coarse, but in all seriousness Mustangs are not that expensive, they are fun to drive (RWD FTW), easy to mod, parts are cheap, and the aftermarket support is huge.
