Hi Guys/Gals, I am new to this forum. Totally not sure if this is the correct place to post this. But here goes...

I have a 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp sedan that I am looking to build both the motor and transmission. The cars been in the family for years, was my sisters first car then mine. As of right now its sitting (transmission has gone out, possibly forward band). Money is not the issue, I want to go full out on this build. I've scoured the interwebs and definitely know of the concerns about the transmission being horrible in these cars, the best option I have come up with so far is to either have triple edge possibly build the trans for me or order parts and build it myself. I haven't found much about doing a transmission swap, its not out of the realm of possibilities though. As for the motor I would love to get into the ballpark of 350-400whp territory. What would it take to get there. Again, money isn't an issue I'm really just asking hypothetically.

A stock engine can make that power if you want it to and be just fine.

Small pulley like 2.8 or maybe smaller, big injectors and fuel pump and run E85. A powerlog and 3in downpipe for exhaust. I'm sure they still make headers but they were kinda blah all those years ago when I owned them. Then do a semi wild camshaft upgrade with valve train upgrade. That should get you a bunch of power.

If E85 wasn't something you could run you'd have to do an intercooler with meth injection to keep intake temps down.
