New Build Questions

Hi Guys/Gals, I am new to this forum. Totally not sure if this is the correct place to post this. But here goes...

I have a 1999 pontiac grand prix gtp sedan that I am looking to build both the motor and transmission. The cars been in the family for years, was my sisters first car then mine. As of right now its sitting (transmission has gone out, possibly forward band). Money is not the issue, I want to go full out on this build. I've scoured the interwebs and definitely know of the concerns about the transmission being horrible in these cars, the best option I have come up with so far is to either have triple edge possibly build the trans for me or order parts and build it myself. I haven't found much about doing a transmission swap, its not out of the realm of possibilities though. As for the motor I would love to get into the ballpark of 350-400whp territory. What would it take to get there. Again, money isn't an issue I'm really just asking hypothetically.

Thanks!

Tep building the transmission is usually the best route. You can do it yourself if you want, but that's your call.

For 350-400hp, you will want to decide if you want to keep it supercharged or turbo it. With a turbo, it's very easy to hit those numbers. Supercharged, it will take cam, intercooler, and maybe heads. E85 is a huge help on either setup.
