new brake lines and pedal still goes to floor

I replaced the 2 lines from master back to coupling going to rear calipers thiss weekend. I replaced both calipers in the back. I made it so the bleeder valve faces the ground. Is this ok to do? Put steel braided lines on the front calipers. we bleed the system many times. we have fluid comming out of all calipers. NO LEAKS. but my pedal still goes to the floor. I took it for a spin and when I pump the brakes to stop it gets better. when it does stop the pedal goes right back to the floor. Is there a bleeder valve around the master cylinder? I am not sure what else to check. Starting to get to cold to keep riding my motorcycle. please help.

When the bleeders face the ground, fluid flows in and directly to the bleeder, leaving the caliper piston area full of air. You need the bleeder to be higher than the hose for your calipers to bleed properly. They should not work right until you correct that.

Like everyone else is saying, your bleeder screw needs to be on the highest part of the caliper resivoir, so that all the air can be properly evacuated when bleeding.... Fluid is heavier than air, so the air is going to want to sit on the top....take a 2 liter bottle of pop and put it on its side, all the air goes to the top...the fluid and air inside the caliper acts the same way. Cant bleed the air out with the bleeder on the bottom side. Flip the calipers side for side to rectify the situation, and re-bleed.

Im assuming you know how to properly bleed the air from the system?

the rear calipers did not say a certain side. But I switched them last night and it stops real good now. Steel braided lines are the best. Thanks for all your input and advise on helping me with this. GOOD LOOKN!:th_winking:
