iI LOST MY CAR KEYS! Geeze I never thought I would but I have. I went to a dealer and got a new set but I guess the ignition has been changed before because only the lock key works. I have a 1993 Grand Prix SE and I would like to know is there a way of shaving a key for it or a way of stripping out the ignition so any key will work in it. I can't afford a new ignition right now, I wasted $25 on the new set of keys lol. Can anyone please help, I have spare keys from previous pontiacs I owned before.
 


You would need a key with the built in igntion chip(this is what my old 95 had). it was one for the first anti-theft devices. If you are able to take your ignition module out... to see the serial numbers out. GM would be able to make you a key for that module. either that or a locksmith....
