needle swap questions

So, I grabbed a couple sets of 04 needles from the JY this weekend. I put one set in, got the tach and speed to work but my temp and fuel gauge don't ever change. They aren't stuck because when I turn the car off they will move all the way down. I pulled the entire cluster when I swapped it, is it possible that I put a connector back in the wrong way?
 


not sure why you pulled the cluster, when i put mine in the only issue i had was the MPH needle getting stuck around 50 because it was hitting the lens. I fixed that with a washer.

If they are coming up when you turn on the key they have power to them, is it possible you crossed the signalling wires?
