Needing schooled on Turbos

Well I'm gonna ask a very noobish question.. I've been considering buying a GP and going the turbo route but.. I don't understand turbos whatsoever. I keep reading up on them but it all looks like gibberish to me. I'd love to get a turbo car but I'd like to understand them before I think anymore about them. So my questions are, what car is the best for a turbo build? Series II N/A, Series III N/A, or the supercharged engines. And how on earth do they work? Sorry if this is a very stupid question but we've all gotta learn somehow. Lol.
 


From everything I have read the supercharged blocks would be better for boost as they have stronger connecting rods, the n/a blocks can still take boost but are more likely to give out under higher amounts of boost.
 


Can't say I've ever seen that before. That would be nice. That way I could sell the blower to cover some of the cost lol.
