Hello all. I have a chance to buy an 04 GTP, which is suppose to be a Comp G car. It has 130,000 miles on the clock and has been serviced through a dealer and very well maintained, in excellent shape for $4500 obo. Has the HUD, Tap-Shift, leather, sunroof, all the goodies. My questions are, does anyone know if there is something in the VIN or any where else to say it is a Comp G, and if I should part with my 04 GT2 with only 69000 miles on it to get this car. Mine doesn't have the HUD, the 5 button HID and supercharger, all of which I do want. WWYD?? All of your opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thank YOU!!

That is my problem, I want the supercharger, HID, and HUD stuff, just the big debate if the higher miles are worth the trade off for what I want.

yeah what the person said.. it has almost double the miles of your current, that would be enough for me to say absolutely not.

If its been taken care of miles shouldn't be a problem.

And if it has tap shift it's a comp g. Nobody in their right mind would put tap shift in a non comp g car.. Aint nobody got time fo dat.

Like Neil98gt said - if it has the tapshift, it's a compG...which also means it has a higher likelihood of having been driven hard, and it has double the miles of your current one. I'd say no.

Yeah, going to dress mine up for show and wait until something better comes around. Thanks for the input!

No

Just add those parts you your car.

No sense in getting into a car with double the miles just for minor easily upgrades parts

I am pretty sure I can't do the HUD, after reading Mad Monkeys post on his upgrade, mine is not wired for it. But I can do other upgrades and wait for the right car to show up, they are out there somewhere. I might just start locating parts for a top end swap and at least boost it up.

Source out a top swap and call it a day. Add the other little features as you go. Not everyone is looking to spend $4-5k to turbo it. A top swap will give you enough pep to what your use to.
