need to flush engine

long story short, buddy of mine used a scotch brite wheel on a die grinder and now i need to flush the motor bc he didnt cover the lifter valley real good. he just used it on the heads for the intake mating surface. I vacuumed it out the best i could and then flooded the lifter valley with brake cleaner to hopefully flush as much of the aluminum oxide particals out. I also took the oil pan off and going to spray down as much as i can to flush it out. Is this a good flush or is there something else i should do/ something else i should use besides brake cleaner?

i have tons of that actually! i did run some through there when we were done for the night after using the brake cleaner but i can definitely run alot of used oil through it. How about spraying the crank case from underneath?

Ok I have bought and used the engine sprayer abd ran about a gallon through the lifter valley ( a lot of it I just poured in instead of spraying it with the gun), along with about six cans of brake parts cleaner( three sprayed from below into the crank case to drain out). Hopefully this did the trick!
