• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Need some serious help before i damage my car.

fill it 3/4 the way up. then watch its level. hot and cold. it should rise and fall if your cap is working right.

as coolant gets hot it expands and it needs to go some where, so it goes to the "over flow tank" convenient name right?

when the engine cools off, it sucks the coolant back in from the over flow tank.

ok got it. I should fill the whole bottle up to 3/4 the way? Over the line marker on the tank?

if you look close, theres a hot line, and a cold line on most over flow's. follow that. if its lower a day or to later that means the system was low and took in back in the engine.

i like to just set it to the cold line when its cold, then check when its hot if it went up or not.

then just judge it by the cold line first thing in the morning. a few mornings in a row. and if its the same your all set. if its low, fill it a bit to the line again.

I fill mine like halfway up the bottle. Screw the fill lines, they're way too low to do anything. I just don't fill it up to the top.
