Brakes worked fine when i bought my car 2 months ago. Then 3 weeks ago the brake warning light came on. The brakes were not as good as before.but had no problems.i figured it was the brake booster, and could not do anything about it.
this morning i went to leave and had barely any brakes. i check my fluid its really low.I had previously checked fluid the day before. I put fluid in and the brake light went off but i still have **** brakes.
any ideas?

look under the master cylinder to see if its wet , if so u need a new master cylinder, if not that, remove the wheels and inspect all the lines and calipers. look for wet spots.

or its possible that you have no pads left , so you needs new pads and to bleed the master cylinder, and the all the brakes to get the air out of the lines.

as your pads wear out the fluid gets lower in your master cylinder, i dont know how low it was but if it was empty, you need to bleed the air out of it. when you have air in the lines the pedal feels like mush and goes to the floor, almost the same feel as a failed master cylinder.

When a caliper leaks you'll see brake fluid all over the back side of your rim and tire, so thats one easy thing to check.
