• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I have been doing lots of searching on the forum( it's a great forum by the way) and still don't know what could be the problem. My car was throwing a code and the acceleration wasn't right and I replaced the MAF sensor and the light went off and the car runs great. The bad thing is that my car dies when I try to start it after it has been warmed up, after keeping my foot on the pedal for a little bit, it'll start idling. Today I unplugged the idle sensor and it starts up and stays running good, the idle is a little high but it runs good. I shut the car off and plug it back in, the car wants to die on start up. I took out the idle sensor and it looks like it could be the original one, do you think that this is probably the problem? This may sound like a stupid question but I can't afford to buy a bunch of parts if it's not the problem.

drive it until it throws the code again if you want but my money's on the maf sensor. You should have a warranty with the part.

I had the new sensor in the car for a month now, the car runs better after putting in the new MAF, just there is no idle on warm start ups unless I disconnect the idle sensor and it stays running then.
