Need ideas for gauges-Picture added!

I want to do some kind of work on my gauges. Id like to just get some type of white overlay, do they make them that do not require any wiring? i just want some I can put over the stock. Also what about removing needles, does this need to be done? Just curious how it works on the Grand Prix. I had a nice setup in my Durango with a custom overlay, bezel and needles. I dont like the plain back. Love to see some pictures and here some ideas on where to get them from.

Re: Need ideas for gauges

im bored with the stock, and the reverse glows... im thinkin about moding into the newer GP gauge face. im already doing a whole overhaul on the full dash, so why not make something really different. and if anyone could get a shot of the wiring or clip off a newer 04+ Gp gauge cluster back. Would also help me out a lot. As far as you go... they have a few gauge cluster covers (ive even had those), remain stock red light and just cover the black background. Or go reverse glow on ebay, and last option i know is some ebay member made a custom nice looking silver gauge area behind the needles and bordered in black, with "Grand Prix" in the top center. only plug and play i know. and ive been modding my interior for the last 6 years.

I'd say hit the yard and find a trashed 04+ GP and check out the wiring for yourself. Cause you'll have a better idea of what you want and need from that.
As far as modding your interior for 6+ years, mind putting up a few pictures?

Re: Need ideas for gauges

yeah, ill have to do that. i still need to set up a photobucket account. ive had the car for 6 years, and thats not all i do, im just saying im never happy. ive gone all out and back to stock, then few nice things here and there, then car gets broke into. so im working on making it secure and safe, pictures will go up of project/and installed, but it wont be for a while. ill try to get some teasers asap. and yeah about the junkyard, i do it a few times every summer, but it hasnt really hit solid nice weather yet, and im moving next month. so the car will have to be sidelined for a bit. =(

If I could find the same setup for my car now I would do it all over! BUT I got all that stuff for free from a guy on the Dodge forums.
