Need help with weird noise with gauge

Got the mechanical oil pressure gauge installed. it works fine....except for this noise.... its like a winding noise at cruise then when i give it a good amount of throttle it makes a racketing noise.. Anyone know what the problem might be? I check my oil level n i have the last dot on the dipstick filled, so i need a change soon altho i put full synthetic in around 2-3k miles ago.
