need help with subs/amp

funny you should say that because i actually put in an order for an aftermarket HU last night, its a pioneer 6300ub, should i look for like a 4 channel amp to run the 4 speakers?

so i found my amp/speakers i think, but when setting em up i know that i should just plug the amps RCA's into the rear of the HU but i know that i had to solder that pink wire from the four pin connector, will i need to resolder anything to get it to work? BTW headunit was definatly worth it.

Im not sure what pink wire you're talking about, unless its the factory amp turn on wire. But for the amp you just need the main power wire, remote line ( your HU harness will have that wire to connect to ), RCA's, Ground wire and you will need to run new speaker wires to the speakers. You wont be able to use the stock wire because they run through the stock amp.

i'd say run new wires since you'd be pushing more power thru a small ass factory wire and that could be bad in the future.

I agree...But unless you're running some serious audio equipment, you're not gonna notice any difference.

just replacing them with some speakers that arent too much different, just their 4 ohms, and right now i cant decide on an amp so the wattage will be anywhere from 50-100 watts from a four channel.

You'll be fine with the stock lines. But the thing I don't like about doing that is that you have to break the line and attach another line to reach the amp. I like my wires to go from the speaker to the amp in one solid run. So everytime I add an amp to my vehicles, I do a speaker line upgrade as well.
