Need help with power connection for amp

Modded for Maximum Slow
So I ended up getting a sub, box, wiring, and amp out of the blue one day from a friend of mine. I really was not going to get one for a while but the price was right and I figured why not. I really do not know how to go about wiring any of it up but I do not know how to go about hooking up the power cable. I know you connect it to the positive battery terminal somehow but am curious to see the best way of doing it. I was unable to find any information on this part of it. Any help is appriciated.

I know where to put it through. I can run the wire. I did come across that 111038384820102874291 times. lol. Im wondering how to connect it to the power.

Doubt you're running enough power to need to bolt the power directly to your battery. Just connect it here as matt said:

You will be just fine connecting it to the fuse box as pointed out in above. Unless your doing something like this then your fine.

That's multiple runs of 1/0 power and ground. Lol they make battery bolt extenders as well if you feel more comfortable doing that. O'Reillys and Autozone both sell them for sure.

are you really drawing anywhere near that though? remeber to apply ohms law, if your big bad amps only have a few 20 amp fusses in it. no where near that then.

Actually i was wrong, i have 200amp fuse up front... I have a mmats dhcx2200.1 and kicker 350.4 so im pretty sure im at 150amps and then some! Couple yrs ago i popped a 150amp fuse with the mmats alone....

200 amps? thats like 200 x 14 volts = 2800W, or 2.8 KW Guess I find it hard to believe your running that much power to your stereo, especially using the like lame a$$ 110 amp alternators our cars have. Just make sure your safely routing that much power.

Don't worry, TC knows what he's doing.
