Need help with my sunroof (the piece inside)

ok so on the inside of my car the piece where you slide it to cover the glass so it doesnt shine in wont move. the handle is pushed so far back into the car that you cant see it. i started to pull on it pretty hard and it was moving but even when i could see and gra the handle it was still very tight. my question is are there locks or something holding it in place or do i just keep pulling and see what happens?

I know this is an old thread now, but I have the same problem. You ever get it forward and working right without breaking it? Im afraid I'm gonna break somethnig.
