need help with kicker amp

:th_nervous:so i have a kicker l7 and been having trouble finding an amp that works good with it i want something that will pound and i wana stick with kicker but the kicker ix2302 amp i have gets hot and shuts off n my friend has a kicker zx600 and that has the same problem anyone have any ideas

it gets hot when running? or it gets hot when it's in a hot car? Under normal conditions, the amp really shouldn't be getting too hot to run.

I have a kicker zx2500.1 and it only gets hot when I wang on it for a good 20 mins or so...

yeah it gets hot after playin it for about 30 min.s

I have a 15 L7 with an orion 2500 amp and it only gets warm not hot. Are you sure you have it wired correctly?

What is the sub wired to?

If its anything less than 4 ohms and you're bridging the amp then that is why you're overheating it...

yeah thats how i had it hooked up got it figured out plus i remounted it so its in a more ventilated part of my trunk
