Need help with fog lights on my GP

I know i posted this in another section but i think i posted in the wrong one (Im new), especially since i got only one reply which did help.

I got a 07 GP and its a base and i got those big turn signal/parking lights and well my bro and i wanted it to be bright to match are 8k HIDs on the headlights. Ive looked through Amazon.com and found these Turn/fog/park lights that say it fits on our 07 GP. How will this be plugged in to our car and will it work? My guess is it will run with the same way with my low beams? I also have checked and we do have a fuse for the fogs but no fogs. So can i fit those fogs into my GP and how will it work, will it be on like it would be with my headlights at night? Heres a link to the fogs i found to give you guys an idea.

Amazon.com: Pontiac Grand Prix (Base,GT,GTP) Replacement Fog Light Assembly - 1-Pair: Automotive

The wire you see in the pic has the fog and the turn sig light connected together into one wire. Thanks again and im loving this site.:th_thumb-up:

i just did this a few weeks ago. you have to hard wire the fog lights to turn on with the parking lights. so, you have to get the relay harness with the HID's so that you can run the positive off of the relay to the parking lights. they always turn on with the car, but i interrupted the ground so that i could turn them off if i want to. took me about a day's worth of work. pretty simple IMO.

<--using switchback LED's from diode dynamics...but they match 6000k i think. pics below

I have the LED Switch backs on mine and they are the same to yours but just not bright like the fogs.

you have to get the relay harness with the HID's so that you can run the positive off of the relay to the parking lights.

I kinda have no idea what you said there but i think i have an idea and my bro might understand too, do you have pics of how your is set up? with visuals ill understand pretty easily.

EDIt: Also i got the same 8k HIDS

I think understand this now, i still need to get those lamps so im expecting on ordering them sometime end of this month or even next month. When i get em installed ill post pics either here or on a differ thread. it may help me if you can get me a pic of how your wiring is done. Thanks

sorry i didn't take the time to rotate it. don't sue me for the kink in your neck now. it's the wiring schematic i used for mine...let me know if you have questions. i can't take actual pics because, well, i'm too lazy ATM.

Ok cool, my bro asked if you can give us a STEP BY STEP, its kinda hard to understand these things especially when it comes to electrical stuff. if you can get that then great and ya thanks for the help bro.

my 97 has 3000k hid's in the fogs when i get my new 04 + split style fogs i was wondering how close an amber led tower would be to the 3000k

i think the 3k will not be anywhere near amber. they're more of a yellowish color iirc. back to the topic of a step by step. it's too hard to type that out step by step. it's really pretty simple. once you get the fogs, you run all of the wires, and connect the positive wire to the parking lamps, ground it, and run a switch to the ground wire (which is also a positive and negative). it's one of those things where you will understand when you see the wires. it's really a simple setup!!

Oh ok ya i understand that we got to look at it then we will understand. Thanks for the help bro and if i need help ill ask on this thread and when we get em installed ill post a pics of it. thanks again and this forum is just AWESOME. :th_thumbsup-wink:

UPDATE: Just ordered the split fogs yesterday and should be getting em soon to install, hope they get here soon

UPDATE: Got the split fogs this morning, going to instal them tomorrow. I do know the turn sigs will turn on but how do i turn on the fogs, like how would i plug in the relay harness or whatever, look at the pics.
