i have a 2001 gt about 160,000 miles on it sometime the car stumbles a little when setting at a light or when pulling off from a stop this is after driving the car for awhile ond engine is at operating temp. i took it to a shop and they scan it and said that there was a code in the history about the maf sensor was reading low but there was no check engine light. so the mechanic had solice scanner hooked up drove the car and he said this what he found he cleaned the sensor and test drove the car again and said it was ok. he also checked before to see if there was any missfires and he said that it wasnt. i drove the car to work after the mechanic shop and it drove fine.on the way home from work it stumble again. the mechanic said that if it does it again the maf my need replace. any sugguestion with this problem on what else to look for

Faulty MAF could cause that.. If the car keeps throwing the MAF code it would be time to replace it.

the thing is its not throwing any code the shop that i took it to said that there was a code in the history when scan the pcm. i checked it the nite before with my scanner and it showed no codes. they drove the car with there scanner hooked up and said the maf was of by a few points pulled it out snd cleaned it csr drove fine the next morning driving home from work it stated to stumble again.

when i had problems with my car stumbling and a shaky idle, I replaced my fuel filter while my GF cleaned out my throttle body with a toothbrush. The problem went away.
My car also stalled sometimes when i started it.
