• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Need help now!

Hey guys, so i barely even took my car out of the garage today but i did and it drove perfect, and the second time i took it out it started up fine and then put it in R and all was great. I then backed out of the garage and threw it in D like i always do and its like it went to N, there was nothing. I put it in 3 and again nothing, and then i tried 2 and it goes but shudders and 1 works the same way. Also, if i get some speed up, you can upshift to 3 and it will work as long as you keep speed up..what is with this?

Do i need a new transmission filter or is it a Torque converter?

The tranny has never had any issues other than this, it doesnt shift hard even with this problem.

Also the tranny fluid looks pretty clean, any advise is much appreciated!

New trans or full rebuild. I would talk to tranny man. Remember I am not 100% sure that is your problem.

i mean it doesnt even try to go into D, it doesnt move the car like it usually does. Its just like its an exstension of N

Thats because the band is not clamping around the drum the drum just spins and does to send the power anywhere.

Yep, your going to need a full rebuild. Mine did the exact same thing as yours did.

I have one in my garage im going to rebuild and parts alone can get up and over 600 depending on what you replace and such
Talk to trannyman(triple edge performance) he can hook you up on every thing you could want for a trans rebuild or a new built trans

sorry to hear about that man, i know i'm on borrowed time too. tep will be who i talk to also, good luck
