ok so i am getting stuck with my exwifes car in my horrible divorce (go figure lol) i bought it for her 2 years ago bc its what she wanted. since then she has pretty much beat it to hell and not taken care of it. so when i get it, it time to fix it.

first of its a 2006 grand prix gt

she told me that the low beams come on, but not high beams. also, the wipers dont work. but turn signals do work from what i understand. i have replaced all fuses and everything is fine in it. no idea what it would be. i traced down wires and nothing is kinked or cut. any help?

btw im in afgnanistan, and i wont be working on it for a while, but the more ideas and help i can get will help.

Sounds like maybe the multifunction switch is going bad, seeing as how the highbeams and wipers all go through the same switch IIRC.
 
a buddy of mine said something about a multifunction switch. what is it? and where can i get a new one at?
 
It's the switch inside the steering column that the stalk connects to. Controls wipes, headlights, cruise, etc... Can get one from any good parts store. Rock Auto may have a good price on it since you don't need it this instant.
