i have a 98 gtp the water pump has two preformed rubber hoses and go to the firewall.. the one thats leaking is the uper one on the water pump.... im having trouble telling what one it is been to a few auto places some call the two hoses uper and lower and others there intake and outtake if anyone knows what one is the one leaking the help would be much apreciated

only you can tell what hose is leaking. and the hoses clamp onto the alt bracket, not the water pump.

i also had one of the heater hoses go bad, the end swelled up and was no longer able to seal shut, and dripped. what i did was took the hose off went to the parts store and tried to match one up. crazy thing is one side of the hose has to be fatter than the other side. the heater core inlet is fatter than the alt bracket water tube.

sometimes you can cut off 2 inches of hose and re install it. that gets rid of the worn out part at the end of it.

alright thanks yea mine has like a litlle slit in it about 2 inches from the alt bracket.. ill have to look into cutting it alota the auto parts stores near my house dnt carry prefomed hoses so i ddint wanna take it off to not get the hose n have to put it back on

yeah its a bit of problem to find one that fit.

the guy behind the counter started looking, 10 minuts later i was also looking with him behind the counter. anther 20 minutes to find one that would work. 7 or 8 trips out the car to test fit the new ones. it was fun.
