04 GP GT, Im assuming it was because the spoiler was a bit loose and water seeped in. I was checking the GF's spare tire pressure and pop the trunk and see little water droplets on the top piece of carpet. I then proceed to pull up the carpet area to get to the spare and BOOM, the nasty smell and moldy cardboard (on top of the spare area) hit me. I pull up the cardboard and the spare wheel well is 1/4-1/2 way full of murky water.... Has anyone else had this problem before?
I drained the wheel well and cleaned it out very nicely, and rinsed off the jack and spare. However I need a new piece of the "trunk carpet" piece, and a new piece of the cardboard that goes between the carpet and wheel well. Does anyone know where I can get these pieces as hers are molded? I dont really want to drive 100+ miles to the nearest junk yard...
Thanks in advance, and hopefully the loose spoiler was the problem. Any other ideas on what it might have been would be a great help.
