Need Help Choosing The Right Tires!!

Just picked these up the other week, they have two good tires on them which are 225/55/17 but was thinking about getting different tires. The width is fine but its sittin a little to high for me with those on there and was just wanting to get some opinions on with size to get. I dont want too much wheel gap and it is my hope to eventually get some lowing springs. Also if you guys could post pictures so I could get a good idea what it would look like that'd be awesome!

that's the right size, leave that size tire and lower the car.

shortening the sidewall is just going to make it look dumb.
