i have a 2000 gtp with 203k miles on it. latley when i have been coming to a complete stop and then let off my brakes they stick on both sides and make a vibration noise from them. the trac control, on-off light, and low trac light are comnig on when this happens to. does anyone know what this could be? any help would be great because its getting worse, thanks, Damon

Since you said you just replaced the wheel bearings I guess we can eliminate that. It sounds like you either have a sticking caliper, Warped rotor's or the ABS system is doing a self test.

But you said it's getting worse so I guess we could eliminate the ABS self test.

ya i greased the pins on both sides and it helped a little bit but didnt fix the problem, my rotors feel like they have grooves in them when you slide your finger across them, do you think that could be the problem? oh and i jsut replaced the breaks to

You relaced the brake pads? If so you're more than likley going to need new rotors and pad's

It sounds like you're pads got worn down to much before replacing them and were causing metal to metal contact with the rotor's. You then changed the pads with new ones.

The vibration is because of the grooves in you're rotor's. You may be able to get by with just rotor's depending on how the pads look.

Yeah i would definatley be getting the rotors either turned or replaced before you screw up the new pads.

It does not matter. If you put new pads on rotor's that had grooves in them it is going to cause problems. You need to at least get the rotor's resurfaced before putting new pads on. When you put the new pads on the rotors that were engraved it probably put grooves in the pad also.

You may be able to get the rotor's resurfaced depending on if the've ever been resurfaced before and how deep the grooves are.

Also brake pads that are worn down noticeably more than the other side is a sign of a sticking caliper.

they dont vibrate the car trys to move but it wont let it so at a stop when it goes to take off again it makes a vibrateing noise from them then unlocks and goes. but what do you guys think has a greater chance of it being, the calipers, brakes, or rotors? or jsut something electrical?

If you have grooves in you're rotor's then you need new rotor's or get the old ones resurfaced. You may as well get new pads. If you're brakes are sticking you need new calipers.

the brakes are sticking but i just think its so weird that they both started doing it at the same exact time thats why i thought it could be something electrical, but i will be emailing you tonight or tommorrow TDC and letting you know if i will be buying them or not, thanks

Ok,

Like I said you may could save you're self some money if you're stock rotor's are not to damaged and can be resurfaced.

But anyhow let me know.

Hey guys sorry if i confused you at all just trying to help out. I know sometimes i just confuse more than i help.
