The injector separation happened to me and I was a little worried too. Bill was right there and told me to put it back together and everything has been fine for a year now

Just stuff them back together and they should be fine.

i will try thatagain but the first time i put tem back together they did not seem to seat properly like they were to short either the injector was not all the way into the im or was not all te way in the rail o rings were still visable or the seperation between injector and slevev was quite significant

That sleeve is sonic welded to the injector. ...poorly.
they are notorious for vac leaks. Put a ring of rtv on the injector body before slipping the o ring sleeve on.
make sure you did not put the injector retainer clip into the wrong slot on the fuel pressure side of the injector that is predominately how people end up with the injectors that don't fit correctly.
