• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I have a 98 GTP I bought a few weeks back that I don't know much about. The past few days I've been hearing a real weird noise that comes an goes from the engine area. Well today I was driving an didn't hear that noist I stopped off came back in my car went to turn on the heat but wont turn on. I can mess with all the buttons an nothing kicks on not the ac or the heat. I'm not sure where to begin or what to look for? I don't have the money right now to bring it in a shop. I'm able to get parts of a 97 gtp if need be but I have no idea where to begin? Any ideas on what to do or try to help me figure out what's going on? I know this sounds dumb but I have a 6 month old son that I would like to keep warm so please no comments. Any an all suggestions would be great thanks in advance. I'm capable of doing things I've never encountered a problem like this an don't know where to start.

start with all fuses..especially anything that says HVAC. and if its anything like a grand am.. not sure.. there's a resistor that can go bad keeping you from being able to use the fan in any other setting than 5.. but if it's not workin at all i dunno

Yeah I checked all the fuses an there all good :-( what's that leave the blower motor? If so where exactly is it located or how do I tell if its bad?

Well I checked all the fuses an there all good :-(. So I'm guessing that leaves the blower motor? Possiblý the strange noise I've been hearing? Where exactly is it located or how would I tell if its bad?

never worked on my grand prix yet to know it its the same as my girlfriends grand am. but on the grand am the fan was on the passenger side down by your feet.. just have to get under there and look.. the resistor that was out on the grand am just plugs right into the fan motor.. so maybe that.. sorry if i send ya on a wild goose chase

Sorry about the overpost my damn phone wouldn't show that it came up just kept saying error. But thanks that's what I heard down by the passengerside under the dash. I'm just wondering now if its the blower motor or I keep reading about the heater control module or something like that so I'm wondering how I would know which is bad of the two

Sorry if this post again for some reason its not showing up when I try to reply back. Well any idea how I would know if it is the motor or that control module or whatever? How hard is it to get to the blower motor?
