Need a tune up!!!

I am really new and i am not a car guy all though i am trying to learn. I have a 2003 gp gt with 140,000 kms on it and i need to do a full tune up on it. I need some help because i have no idea where to start or what products i should buy. I know i need to change my plugs and wires and also my pcv valve and air filter. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also suggestions of brand names would be great. Thanks to everyone for your help.
 


Don't forget the fuel filter.

If you're stock or close to, go with AC Delco products. AC Delco plugs, wires, PCV valve, etc. Your choice of air filter and/or fuel filter. The Autozone "Purolator" brand of PCV valve made me burn a little oil, and come to find out the AC Delco is cheaper. Doh!
 
Do you now where the fuel filter is and if i go with better parts will i get better results? It is stock. I put about 500 to 1000 kms a week on it. I would love to make it scream performance but i need good gas mileage and it just gets driven to much to sink lots of money into it(for performance i mean :) Thanks alot
 


I plan to do some minor appearance work(tinted tails, new headlamps, looking for roog rails etc.) and really do the interior up. I am in sales and im in my car all day so i want it to be awesome inside. I just want to make sure i am doing everything to keep my engine in its best condition so any help would be appreciated.
 
Forgot to ask about the ac delco products i am in canada, i dont think we have that. Any other recomendations. thanks.
 


if s/c means supercharger i only have a gt. Is this any different than the wizard air intake everyones talking about? if so what kind of gain can i see on a gt?

LOL sorry. Yes you will see gains in hp and mpg with a fwi, and will give more of a growl when you get on it. Any car will benefit from a cai/fwi. Its similar to the wiz. air intake but its a lot cheaper. Plus if you wanted to paint it or make some design on it you can...many people on have, including myself.

how long would it take for someone with very little experience? thanks buy the way i am 32 yrs old and just now trying to figure out cars a little...very little.:th_laugh-lol3: i dont know how to post a thank you lol

Around an hour or so, I did mine in about 20 mins. Just take out the the stock air box, the pcm is in the air box(its gray with a wire harness pluged into it, dont unplug it), take it out and find a place to secure it. Unless you buy a pcm tray you'll have to find a way to secure the pcm to the engine bay( i used zip ties on mine). Then just follow the link I sent in the previous post. Oh and you did post a thank you.....thats what the "thanks" button is for lol.
 


I wouldn't pay that much for the Wizair, that's just me. Check out TDCs intake, it's a lot cheaper and goes into your fender nicely. Also I don't reccomend putting the 180* thermo in, it will kill your gas mileage.
 
Just take our advice on it, the price is unmatched, and you can spend anywhere from $30 to $70 on a do it yourself intake and it probably won't come out with the quality that TDCs is. He worked very hard on the product. Mine should be here tomorrow :)
