• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

ned some advice =(

well I decided to leave it like that for now. There doesn't seem to be a single unanimous reason for changing it for now. I also agree that the best option would be to just go ahead and change it, but there are some opinions that say it will work.

I'll try it like that, I guess it'll kind of serve as a proof of concept for some of us. If it does create issues, we'll just go ahead and replace it.

We turned it on earlier today and give it gas a couple of times and there didn't seem to be any issues so far.

I still need to try it at the track once the tune is completed. If anything goes wrong, I'll post it back here.

thanks all.

One question not yet asked...

Why the hell would you turn it over if you thought you might have dropped a piece of hardware into the cylinder?

I was wondering the same thing. And Juan, if you were just trying to run the engine stock, you might make out alright. But where you want to increase it's performance, leaving it as is, is a bad idea. I can see pre detonation and because of those shavings, engine miss balance. The engine balance may only be minimal, but it has to be there since there's missing material from the piston.

Well you may be right. As I said, the engine is back together and I'll just have to find out. If it detonates or breaks I'll just go ahead and fix whatever is necessary.

I picked up the gtp at the shop earlier. It pulls hard and there are no issues so far. I still have to scan and tune it.

Just one question. Is the ic pump suposed to get hot?
