Navigation Help Please!

I have a 2008 Grand Prix GXP, with the navigation unit. The navigation unit P/N is 15263106. I've read that you can obtain a firmware update to allow this unit to play MP3 CDs. I really want this update. I found a link that was for 2005 models only, tried it anyway, unit did not recognize the disk. Said: Disk is not a map Disk. Does anyone know where I can obtain this firmware update for my car? Has anyone dealt with this in the past?
