Nasty Plugs Look!

ya and the other tube uses vacuum to suck it into the LIM after the egr opens... correct? both exhaust an lim are blocked off in my car and my tubes are just floating. so ima do what ithutz and scotty said and tune the stupid thing out.

can someone give ideas on what tuner i should look into. seen some where here about a blue tooth obd2 plug in and smartphone app but i cant find it now
 


i called around around and found a performance shop that will tune out the egr for 400 bucks 400 BUCKS!!

idk is this price out of line? i can buy a new pre programmed pcm from intense for 125.

i called them to but they didnt answer i wanted to know how much it would cost me to send it back and have them do it

your a 97, so you need a 97 pcm. if you find one and ship it to me i can tune that code out for ya. set your vin to the pcm. add a trans tune too if you want. it wont cost you any where near those quotes lol
 


that is cheap! couldnt i just send you the one that is in my car? vin is already on it from intense. Im gona wait to see what intense says it may just be a send in and update from them idk how it works.

My trip permit is up tomorrow so i wont be able to drive it until october (legally) so i got some time lol. thanks for your offer and if intense cant/wont help me ill send it to you.

power steering fluid started running all over the ground today so i gota look into that also. thinking high pressure line o-ring or pump its chirping but still workin
 
i didnt know it was already tuned, they should do updates id think.

the whole idea of the second pcm would be so your cars not down. your car would be a brick with no pcm, cant drive it.

and cant drive it till oct? wtf is that all about?


lots of p/s leaks and pumps and rack shi tting the bed lately.
 
In the great blue state of Oregon you get 2, 3 week trip permits a year. i got my 1st one in oct after i put lights in it and got a battery it ran good and checked out what it could do.

Then it took a poop on my gtp party. with your help got those thing got worked out so i got my second one and the egr and o2 sensors systems have not become ready prolly because i delete the p0401 and p0171 codes because i also can deq it with active MIL showing.

I can have two systems unready and i have 3 egr/vvt unready o2 sensor unready and o2 heater unready. so clearing the egr code will pass it
 
so it needs to pass inspection before you can register it? is that what im getting here?

o2's can take some time to show ready too.
 


yes scotty thats the gist of it. has to do emissions and vin inspection (virgina car) no pass no plates no tags no registration no dice
 
here you get your registration and walk out of dmv, then you get a month to inspect it, if it fails, you get another 40 days to fix it, then its 300$ tickets if you got a failed or overdue sticker.
 
one stop shopping here in NJ at the MVC as they call it not. title, reg, lic abstracts, lic test, take the road tests, inspection, renewals, turn old plates in. they do it all at one place.
 


so now i will have to risk it to drive to the clean air station (deq) after i tune out the egr and move on with my life

dmv here also does random insurance checks. if there is a car registered in your name with expired ins they will investigate you. if they find there claims to be true they make you carry a sr-22. you pay higher rates and if you go without the legal amout of insur they suspend your licence. sr-22 lasts for 3 years

cant tow it there? tow dolly maybe? hell how bad could a no reg ticket be? its no insurance you really get nailed for here. its a two year loss of lic. no getting around it either.
 
im gona look into the ticket and weigh the risk its close to my house but have to drive past the police station to get there.. i know they do that on purpose
