• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Nasty Plugs Look!

geez im sorry it was the p0401 insufficent flow. the zzp website says that if the egr is open then it draws in clean air and all is good and you loose about 1 mile per gallon. thats how mine is and i still get a the code. ima check the tube and make sure its not blocked. thanks for the link

not trying to argue with you by any means or seem disrespectful. the zzp link above is my exact set up and they say it should work without throwing a code. anyway i am thankful for your imput and im sure im irritating you by now. btw my o2 is still unready after 400 miles and many different driving conditions.

time to hit the jy.. im gona check the tube.. that link you gave me said to clean it and check for blockage.. ill try that 1st i guess. i it your not a zzp fan?

being its not bolted to the exhaust its probably just bad. you can pop the egr off, and clean it. but it sounds like it took a crap on ya.

cool thing happened today. while i was running my new spendy silicone vac lines i realized that my sc is not a 97 and so my vac lines run as 98-00 and i ordered 97 lines. sigh day in the life of a retard

im sure you can make it work still, theres line you dont need that maybe you can use in other places. the only difference really is the short lines that would have come from the tree to the bbv and frp. the t under the snout to map line is the same.

my line map says on 97 its under snout to map sensor but does not T to the fpr so im thinking i wont have enough line. i can use that line if i can eliminate it then ill be fine. kit also included rad to overflow tank maybe i can use that if i cant. im working on it

97 GTs had the 4T60E transmission, while the GTPs got the 4T65E. 4T60E is vacuum controlled, 4T65E is not so you shouldn't need that vacuum line.

I don't know about that EGR bypass. It's pulling in unfiltered air. That's a deal breaker for me.

thanks for the trans info its helpful. as far as unfiltered air both exhaust and LIM are sealed so no unfiltered air getting in that way.

brings me to another question. does the egr pump air? if no how could the zpp block offs work? my car is done like their car and i get a p0401 insufficent recirc flow with a new egr. this code + p0171 code are stopping me from getting licenced and im starting to get pissed at it

In this pic you can see the EGR tube is just hanging there. If the PCM is still trying to use the EGR, it will open, allowing unfiltered air to be sucked in that tube.
