The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
I found it today when i was looking for the other sensors and relized i dont have one in my engine bay and i dont know if i should being a 97.i have a evap vacuum switch and a evap canister purge valve but no solenoid
So ive been working on the problem between the seat and the steering wheel and this is what i did. i did a junk yard maf out of a 98 no more p0102 code. I looked into the o2 wiring and discovered that it is the upstream o2 that runs to the post cat location with a long extention that has the rear o2 connection i had a upstream off my other engine that looks new. upstream 02 has a male end while downstream is female so i cut the wires from the sensors and put the female end on the upstream and plugged it in post cat and so far it runs good still rich but it runs with no rpm dancing or dieing. On the scanner the upstream reads .420-.455ish while the downstream runs flat at .440 so i think its tuned out. I did get a p0135 that says upstream is not functioning but i can watch it so idk if its a intermittent issue. Got a p0440 gas cap code to cap is a delco and it looks good but the filler neck is rusty round where the cap is and the tube behind the 1/4 goin to a picknpull for a good one for 11 bucks. its sad but 3 local picknpulls have like 25 gps 97-03 good for pickin tho
Front o2 sounds dead then if it doesnt switch from .050 to .900ish, if steady at .400-500mv it's dead or there is a wiring issue. Basically the computer is in open loop on like a "fixed" program because the front o2 sensor is not working.
And I have no idea why you cut the wires to the o2 sensors. The upstream o2 sensor MUST STAY IN FRONT OF THE CONVERTER.
i dont have a converter. the car has one o2 sensor and the wires run from a connector about where the number 5 cylinder is and runs down the the post cat posistion. idk im trying different things cuz im lost
when i was at picknpull getting a filler tube a gtp there had the s/c case cracked. how does this happen? and how important is the TB screen my car doesnt have one and i could not figure out how to get one out at the jy without ruining it. still messing with the o2 im stumped atm checked the connector and it has 12v wires not melted have put new upstream and downstream in with no correction p0134 and p0135 still come up. i know im missing something... like a brain. i know its why my car is running rich. i will say it runs strong again and im thankful for all the advice you guys have given. Scotty how did you change your name i want to change mine but did see where to do that in my profile.and sorry you got fired
i cant change it....it was just changed on me by a mod. PM Billboost37, or just act up in chat during the day time, he'll pick one for ya lol
the screen has a ring clip holding it in, if you look around the outer edge of the TB you'll see a gap in the ring, both ends have a little hole, you can use two picks to pinch the ends together to remove it, or snap ring pliers work too.
