N* Throttle Body

I finally picked one up to go on my Gen V and get rid of my L67 tb. It's the older style with the plastic MAF housing so I can use my L67 MAF. I'm going to bore out my adapter plate to 75mm to match the N* and Gen V inlet instead of buying a new one from ZZP for $100. One reason I got a N* was because I had always thought that it had a nipple for the PCV but mine doesn't have it. The only nipples are the coolant ones at the bottom. Is it just the new style that has this nipple? Am I going to have to tap it and put a nipple on? Thanks

This...makes no sense...read it again to yoslef.

As for the N*. You'll go back to your L67 TB setup...trust me. N* setups are touchy as hell and you can get either ZZP's Billet 78mm TB or a LS1 TB Setup and they are WORLDS better.

My apologies, fixed. Well the main reason for this was to correct my PCV but it looks like i will need to do the same thing to the N* as I would have my L67 TB. I like cruise control so the LS1 is not likely, at least last I heard the LS1 can't use cruise. I haven't heard anyone else complain about gaining throttle response, I thought people liked that?

the throttle plate is linear instead of progressive like the stock. you touch the pedal with your big toe and youre already around 20-30% throttle and just about into boost. i hated it and went back to a ported L67 throttle body after a week.

Wouldn't the TAC adapter from ZZP cure the touchiness everyone is talking about? Just curious i've never heard anyone say anything about this issue.

they're talking about the spring setup... its setup so pedal movement results in linear change in the plate position.

the stock setup is progressive so you have to get further in to get the same levels of throttle.

It makes DD'ing easier.

I've had a N* on my car for 1 and a half yrs. i love it, touchy? eh not so much, its more of a different feel, less petal to move. recently i drove a car with a l67 t/b and i hated it, feels sluggish, lots of petal for the same throttle position.

have lots of experience with an 01 acura RL.. VERY small pedal area so you get into it thinking "******* torque monster" but then you realize you're at 80% TPS at that point...

My buddy and I made an adapter for an ls1 tb for my car. In the process, we decided to adapt the linkage (cammed) off of the l67 tb to my ls1 tb. It works awesome off so far. (Still working on putting my engine together) Has anyone else done this? I'll get some pics next time I'm at my garage.

^^Pics plz.

To get a LS1 Trottle to work...you've gotta cut it, flip it, and weld it backwards IIRC. I'll get a picture of mine later.

Yeah, it's mounted upside down. I actually bought an LS1 tb setup w/ adapter from someone on here, and it was just clocked about 25degrees to be mounted. I really don't get how to post pics here, but I'll give it a shot...

yeah, I just gotta remember my password an such, I rarely use it. I did find two pics on my phone. I'm working on it

If this doesn't work, I give up. I wasn't meant to post pics

It LOOKS like it will work well. I guess when spring comes around we shall see how it works. Seemed like a good idea at the time. I still need to find a maf.
