Mystery Problem, Stalling And More !!

Hey everyone I've had this problem for about two weeks now, I posted in the L36 forum and got few responses and my problem has gotten worse, so here is try number two....

This first started, I'd be sitting at a stoplight and the rpms would drop to 400 then shoot up to 1500, then level out, then about 30 secs later do it again. Lately the car has been staling out. It will stay running If I give it gas, but If I let off the RPMs bounce between 400 and 1500 then the motor dies again...

Tests I have ran,
Ran in Speed Density mode (unplugged MAf) problem still exists
Replaced IAC, problem still exsists
Checked Batt. voltage while car running, Solid 14.65 V
Second Tank of gas, so gas presumably ok
Checked spark(removed both wires and listened for arck between posts)
Fuel pump does prime, and Shop I took it to said there were no fuel pressure or vacuum issues

I am out of Ideas:th_nervous:
Any help is appreciated

are you able to swing by Bob/ Voyteks shop?

I am not coming up with anything, you pretty much have it all covered.

BUT....

to me it sounds like fuel..

have you pulled your plugs to see if it is getting a clean burn? if they are dry, or wet from fuel?

no, I haven'd pulled plugs yet, but the issue seems to get worse after the car is at temp, I already swapped the o2, so I tried unpluging the EGR, and it seems to be better, maybe it cant close while the car is running, time for an egr block off, Im not sure if it is solved, but it seems to be better... Only more driving will tell... most of what I've checked I learned on this and the "other board", I swear I've learned more here than I did in 2 years of college :o

you shhould remove the evap tube and plug it off, on the riv we had the evap system causing idle issues (PCM controlled vac leak)

does it happen with the HVAC off? i've seen AC compressors cycling because of defrost, cause issues

you never mentioned this to me bud:(

pull the vac line off the FPR and smell fer gas

Yeah, it just got worse the last few days, and I've had little off time from work, the egr seems to have helped the problem, but I may call you later this week for some help if it starts stalling again

Ok, now It seems to me that I may have a cracked/warped UIM, because before my gauges were stolen, I was running about 26 in of vacuum at idle, now it pulsates between 19 and 20.5 .... this seems like a huge vac leak to me, I checked all the ports and sprayed Carb cleaner everywhere.... I hate mystery issues, cause if something breaks, Fine fix it, but problems like this drive me crazy
