I thought it was gone for good :th_shakinghead2: , missing for 4 months:th_depressed: , my craftsman 10mm comb. wrench. :th_angry-cussing:T'was part of my 40? piece set. :th_angry-teeth: I searched under hood on all 3 vehicles we own WTF. Then today, out of the corner of my eye, What do I see ?

That's right, there it is... :th_rockon2:worked it's way down through and almost all the way out of the front valence !! Amazing it didn't fall all the way out. I've Put over 5,000 miles on this car since I lost it. Including 120 mile round trips to work (I carpool, so I only drive Every 3rd week). I figure today's my lucky day, so I bought a few Quik-picks for tonight's Powerball. Can't hurt, right? Here's hoping....:th_sinister:......E

thats nothing, i found a 10 mm socket i lost 5 years before in my front bumper, it was rolling around near the fender well at the bottom of the bumper cover....it did feel nice to have it back in its spot after all that time.

1. Are all 10mm's cursed or something?

2. Ya, having that wrench tray full again is cool...it's just the little things sometimes.

3. While looking in that car, I pulled out a dozen or so pieces of gravel, so I can see how things get trapped.

4. if that wrench did fall out, it prolly coulda' gave me a flat. (I worked at a Goodyear for 2 years a while back, and all kinds if things find their way into tires. screwdrivers, wrenches, earrings, keys & keychains , sunglasses and part of an aluminum folding chair leg are some of the more unusual things I've seen).

ok, odd tire punctures,,,,,,, im in queens iirc, narrow tight road, i feel that i ran some thing over, like maybe a rock, but its clearly in the tires cause the whole truck is jumping every rotation, i pull over fast and see a womans high heel shoe's spike heel in my tire. took 5 or 6 plugs to seal the hole, had it patched later on, had to get home lol

then this one is pretty messed up, in my regal, i felt the left front tire spin and kick something out from under leaving a stop sign, then i feel something go under the back wheel, then i hear tick tick tick tick, pull over look at the tire and there a carriage bolt threads first right through the tire.

both times i was like :th_scratchhead: wtf?

Plenty of ho's in the ghetto I imagine, btw, I omitted fasteners of all types because they're the most common. When I fixed flats, I would tape the offending item to the customers work order. You can't believe how many people would look at it and say " Wow, are you sure that came from my tire ? I don't remember running anything over?" COME ON...!! If you look down at your speedo at highway speed, you've just covered like 150 feet without looking....DUH ! So, yes ma'a m, that's yours... Thanks for coming to us today. blah blah blah .

i put 175,000 on my truck in less then 5 years, i picked it all up, from nails screws, scraps of metal, metal i have no idea wtf it was from. even once at home depot i ran over that metal clip from the free nylon strapping they use to strap cargo down with. i got a free tire out of that one. im like your supposed to keep your loading area clean, look at this place, how am i to avoid this? place was a mess.

LOL and I thought I had uploaded it, but apparently did not, but last year when I was working on my Stealth I dropped the subframe and a 10mm wrench I had lost several years before that fell out at me. I LOLed and took a pic and sent it to my cousin saying "Look familiar?" He was like Holy crap, I can't believe that thing was still in there after all these years.

I had a lag bolt in a tire on my 72 SS for months, just kept reminding myself to stay under 60 so it would stay in. Then one day I forgot and stomped it and heard the bolt fly out. BWAAAAaaaa TINK! psssss "Dammit".

I was in my GP on Power Tour one year and there was an oncoming dump truck... I spotted a like 5/16 x 3/4" bolt falling off it because it bounced and went straight for my face... windshield has a repair there now. I had an oil drip climbing the windshield for the rest of that day. Dang it was loud when it hit.

Thats pure luck on the hanging wrench. The windshield behind you might have caught that.

Heres one I've never been able to come up with a viable explanation for, speaking of ghettos and hos-

Had a Town Car on the frame rack one day, fixing a crash on it. When I went to clamp it down, I noticed some yellow up in the frame rail. It was thong panties. HAHAHA! Wait... heres another. And another! Every hole in the frame had yellow stripper panties stuffed in it. Dozens of them in all, probably. I just put the first couple back with a stick and gloves and showed everybody. No idea why they were there but it was fun to speculate about.

Okay... you guys are still in the bush leagues.... I found a 10 millimeter wrench of mine in the garage and when I lifted it up I discovered a car I lost years ago....

We also worked on in-town cop cars. One day some officer forgot to make a trip to the evidence room before coming in, because in that trunk there was a Triple Beam scale (this was 1987, so not digital), and packets of a dark sticky substance wrapped in aluminum foil, that someone else identified as Black Tar Heroin !!

Some customers are proud to show off their rides, this one guy had a dispenser on the bottom of his dash that served beer, Jack, and Coke from a pressurized setup in his trunk. DUI much ??

10mm being on of the most common, it's not surprising to lose it in the from of a gp. All that plastic up front if brutal for tools
