• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Doesn't want to accelerate. It's very boggy feeling and it doesn't want to shift. I think I may have two separate but equal problems. I am going to change air and fuel filters and clean the M.A.F. sensor. but the shifting thing, I have no idea. I can give more accurate info if somebody tells me exactly what they need to know.

How high can you get the rpm's? Did it happen instantly or get gradually worse over time? Engine problems can often be misinterpreted as transmission issues. So the engine bogging may be the only issue here.

My MAF sensor went on the fritz a short time ago and the engine was acting REALLY stupid, the transmission wouldn't hardly shift out of first gear.
I would check the MAF first.

I can get the rpms through about 3 grand, but it fights me over 2. And it doesnt want to hit boost. Im thinking now, after a little bit more reading, that the transmission is in fact fine, its just not wanting to get enough rpms to shift. Does that make sense?

Yes. Clean the MAF and see if that helps, that can easily cause those symptoms. Also a clogged cat can as well.

^^ what he said.

I had a hellva time figuring out my first gen SHO, and why it waznt running right, gutted out the cats on y-pipe and it ran like a champ after that!
