My turbo update

any updates??

yes, I have more grey hair, and balding...lol:th_laugh-pointup:..stress

The car is still sitting in the same spot it has been for the past few weeks. I am looking into wiring 220 into my side of the garage so I could finish it up myself. The shop its at does GREAT work....just they are getting to be...well let me refraise this. they are SWAMPED:th_laugh-lol2:

On a personal note. I have taken off the ILGPC banner, and now proudly display

GrandPrixForums.net banner.

more pics coming soon.

Haha when I looked at your picture with the slicks I immediately thought wow is his slicks on the front wheels? just came back from an F-body meet haha, forgive me :)

your the third person to do that to me today! lol. I'm not used to them myself...as my S10 is the opposite...

You're going to tell me more about those front tires...like what size rim's those are...Backspacing...And tire size or else I will put a hit out on you first thing in the morning. :)

I never knew this thread was even here. Glad I happend to find it.

Is that a TR12 intercooler?

this is my first time seeing this thread! i used to think slicks on a fwd car looked retarded but now i love that look!

LOL, or lack there of. the exhaust pipe..(which is done).... will come right off the turbo...and out the front bumper in front of the Drivers front tire....

I dont have the front bumper carved up yet for the pipe. I am taking detailed pics as things progress.

TDC- I will get the backspacing for you.... but the tires are 26X10X15.

the Intercooler measures: 27" Long 14" High 4" Thick

All I have left to do is run fuel line, mount my pump, and wire in my fuel pump controller....and well dyno after the break in miles.

Cool I need to get me some prostars or draglites and did not want to order the wrong stuff. I was thinking I would just go with the 8'' wide rim (wich would have been more than enough the m90 build) but figure more couldn't hurt now that i'm turbo....And i'm trying to be like you.:th_king-evil: :D

I rub off on people from time to time..lol.

The lugnut pattern would obviously be for a stang... 5 X 4.5. you ill also need a wheel spacer for the front, as well as longer wheel studs. I used ARP 3.5"....just in case I need to go wider on the wheel. but I am happy with what is on it. I wish I could have a larger offset by .5"...it would bring it more toward the strut to compensate for the spacer.. oh well.

I have goose bumps..... she is soooo close!!!!

the draglites that are on the back are actually off the S10.....for pictures. I am going to buy a matching set of Prostars this spring for her. ALSO..a new paint scheme may be in the works..depending how the S10 comes out.

I'll remember that but why do you need a spacer?

like any fbody... the inner wheel does not have a "bend" away from the caliper. you just need to space it out ever so, so it will clear the stock mounting brackets/calipers.

Weight Savings... IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!

That's what I figured.

Weight savings? Compared to stock 5 star rims? I did not think it would be that much since there both aluminum. Guess I was wrong.

wieght of the fronts has to be around 16oz each. the slicks dont weigh anything...all I can feel is the rim.

compared to stock.....16lbs+
