my speed limiter is like where is waldo

Probably cutting fuel or closing the electronic throttle due to some limiter that hasn't been adjusted yet. From what I see in his tune, it seems like nothing should be holding him back at 96-98 MPH.
 


Tranny mite b holding him back ?? .. he said he found some ETC that was set at 6000 and said thats bout when it cuts out.. i ddnt think the 04+ supercharged prixs had a rev limiter that low ..
 
Transmission may be playing a role in the problem. I think it wasn't shifting into 3rd gear and instead bumping the rev limiter. He adjusted the ETC limit up a bit and changed some of the shift settings. I'm waiting for him to send me his last scan and current tune.
 
He just called and said problem fixed.. his shift point was 5900 and the ETC limiter was 6000.. he bumped up the ETC to 6500 and problem solved on a closed off to traffic road in mexico lol..
 


Yup. Adjusting the ETC up seems to have solved part of it. Still not sure why it seems to be in second gear still, though. I'll take a closer look when you two make another road trip down here to see me.
 
That will b sometime next paycheck.. gotta get alignment and new tires on friday to compliment the new coilovers thats on ... but i def need that tune turned up a lil more lol.. had to swap out that MAF.. and mite hav thrown it off a lil more idk nuthn bout the tuning though ...
 
just so everyone will know i found the limiter that was holding me back i didn't ask a stupid question it was just to complex for you turd. so everyone that had doubts ha ha in your face. and a big thanks to the people that actually care and comprehend questions enough to give a thoughtful answer. i may be ignorant to this tuning still but im not stupid. just a quick question for all the one who were talking trash. how long have you had hptuners and how many trannys and engines have you gone through trying to learn this?

hopefully none since youre supposed to start out with low timing and boost before you turn all the stuff up and run it ragged..

I can't believe I missed the Opportunity to flame on this thread, o well... late but still enjoyable. From Springdale, AR 72764 to the closest Border for Mexico, plus however far he went in to get to some "closed off to traffic road" is 800 miles, a 13hr drive... going the speed limit... prolly 10hrs at 100+mph...

...then the return trip. But I guess he had enough time on the road to get the tuning down right before he got all the way to the border ROFLMAO
