Today on the way home from work I was driving normally like I do, just commuting, and from a coast I went to accelerate lightly from about 25mph and it felt like the transmission was still in 3rd or even OD, and the motor was bouncing RPMs from like 1300-1800. When I hit the gas hard enough it downshifted finally, and went through first gear fine, then also shifted into second just like normal. I have only put 100 miles on the car since I got it, and it has a custom dyno tune. Like ten minutes prior to it acting up I had an advanced auto scan it to see if any codes were thrown (looking to get emissions done). Needless to say I am frustrated... Earlier today during my lunch break I had taken the car out with two friends, and I did a couple WOT pulls, from a dead stop and from like 35mph roll. Everything was fine and good and tight. Any input would greatly be appreciated! I can do anything to a motor, but have not really been inside of a trans, although I have done shift kit installs.. Any questions just ask, I will do my best to explain anything for you.
 


I would look into performing some maintenance on the trans. New filter, gasket, and a trans go shift kit and seeing how she likes it.

Mine used to do the bounce when shifting into 4th or OD on the hot summer days so for this summer, she's getting two FAT trans coolers.
 
P0742 code was gone this morning, acted normal the whole drive to work in stop and go, maybe a couple times going uphill it stayed in lockup when I would have expected a downshift, but nothing major... Hopefully pan drop/filter/fluid change will fix it, also ordered a TransGo
