• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

my new impreza

i dunno. ive found out that everyone that does anything to a subbie has a turbo and finding n/a help is pretty freakin hard.

crap, i just figured something out that sucks. i guess my car came with equal length manifolds/headers so if i do an exhaust i wont have the boxer rumble. time to get some unequal length headers i guess. good thing some unequal length borla headers are $350. :D

dont know if i can do that right now since its under warrenty for 3 more years or 70k miles and i would like to take it in for work under warrenty if i can.

If you get the Cobb AP and a Stage 1 tune then you can just revert back to stock any time you need to take it in. That's my plan. Easy 40WHP gain for the STIs.

I was about to say...best mod hands down would be a WRX turbo upgrade but I'm not so sure how they would handle boost.

I'm still new to the platform and boxers in general, so I don't know either. Seems like a pretty straightforward swap, I would guess.

I bet he has the car a year tops before he's wanting F/I again. :th_biggrin2:

thats the header i planned on getting. the borla is cheap and guaranteed for a million miles.

i havent been through a full tank of gas yet, so i dont know my MPG. ive gotta say its hella better than my prix though. :D

You can get the headers and exhaust and not void the warranty. The dealer would have to prove they were the direct cause of the problem to void the warranty. I was talking to my boss after we made a custom exhaust for an 07 chevy truck. He said it is a nation wide law.

Yeah, turbo-back exhaust so I can go Stage 2 is definitely on the table for me. Non intrusive on the warranty and Subaru is warranty friendly in general.

Yup...it is only anything INTERNAL that will void the warranty...some places won't work on it b/c of a lack of a converter...others will...who knows there.
