How come there are multiple w-body builds running 11's or lower with less than 10k? There is a little over 20k build running mid 8second passes fwd... So I'm wondering what your doing wrong there bud, you have 20k invested but only managed to run "10s" on an awd platform? **** there is a fwd impala that ran 10 flat on stock heads and less than 7k in mods.

The only time the subject has changed is when someone asks you for proof of your claims and we still don't have an answer or even a single mod on your pos car. We know these are fwd family cars and not "race" cars, why do you think we bought the damn car? So I could have a reliable dd that I can have fun with, without sticking out too much. I'll be damned if a mitsi galant owner comes on here and tries telling me I'm an idiot when nothing they say makes sense in the first place.
 
If you didnt post what you "observed" about the forums at the end of your opening post none of this would of happened. But honestly, what were you thinking when you posted that on a GRAND PRIX website?

And btw.. what is the stock ratings on your car? last time i checked i think it was lower than a stock gtp?

it is the same as an early evo. thats why I have to call it a vr4, not a galant, so ignorant people like yourself dont get confused. I love working on the vr4 so yes I will buy stuff for it.
not at anytime did I say I spent $20k on my car. and as far as a mod list I said I have a 20g. which is a type and size of a turbo not a cost. see the absense of a dollar sign? more ignorance. I never said you need a twin turbo setup. that was a statement about turbo efficiency which is obviously something else you have no knowledge of.
I never said I did ignition mods, just that I had replaced it with good parts. the word MOD was never used. what you stated your car is for is EXACTLY CORRECT, so this thread doesnt apply to you.

As for the OP, see what you're saying. I would def consider a Galant VR4, whether it be the 4g63 or the 6a13TT, better all around cars than ANY GP. As I've stated in my own thread. A GP is a one trick pony. Either make it a straight line powerhouse or handle DECENTLY in autoxing. Not both. You just went about it the wrong way by insulting people on the way they choose to spend their money. A lot of people can and will say the same about a 4g63's reliability. No question, in my opinion, the best 4banger ever made... But they do tend to break a lot. Just from personal experience. Know 2 people with VR4 galants, and also been looking for one myself, so this is def not to hate on your choice

Lmfao! I love coming home from work to see things like this. In my opinion, 4-cylinder engines are a joke. Idc how many Evo's are running 1000hp on a 4-banger, they're still all going to blow up, and they all sound terrible. I'm not saying our engines sound good by any means, but by god if I wanted to listen to some obnoxious fart sound I'd go to a daycare center.

4g63s them selves are not unreliable. dsms can be however. it is a 20 yr old system that is rarely cared for and always beaten. the motor itself is very reliable. but will your ecu let you go lean a detonate when the caps melt ehh maybe.

ninny thanks for not being retarded. and as far as what I should have done. I never told them how to spend their money. go drop 40 thousand on a GP and it will be F-ing sweet. still not a race car though. I only insulted the people who think theyre cars are race cars, and for that im not sorry as it was my intentions
 
Your initial post insinuated that there were quite a few people who consider their GP to be a "race car". I can honestly say that I have not seen one member who thinks of their GP in such a manner, but then again I suppose you should probably define "race car". What do you mean when you say it?
 
my point was i can make any car compare to any other one. the skyline comment was wrong....just suck it up its ok, cuz for the most of the rest of it i agree with you. just not so sure who ur trying to convince anymore.


and im glad no ones tried to say our engines sound good....cuz frankly they sound hella ugly haha. half the reason i love the sc whine so much, it drowns out the rest of it lol

ah thanks for correcting me. i did mean the lnf. i was mixed. dont get me wrong, i used to be a 4g63 junkie. theres a reason im with a gp now. but if were gonna argue about how a galant vr4 is a better platform than the gp... theres prolly a group of guys right now driving supras and termis laughing their ass off right now at us. fact is there are much better more reliable platforms than either of these cars. the only reason the op even started this thread was to spread a fire. if he is so content he would have just ignored us and went on his way. isnt it funny how the thread is titled my last post yet he keeps posting because all he wanted was to piss the bees off.

and fyi if i were to choose a rare turbo manual vehicle itd prolly be a gnx or syclone. both of those would own a vr4. as a matter of fact the syclone would prolly do circles around that vr4 in the snow.

Aside from the fact that both vehicles listed (GNX and Syclone/Typhoon) only came in a 4 speed auto ;)

Why are you surprised that your car keeps being brought up? You're swinging from the Galant's nuts, while "informing" GP owners they are waisting money modding their GP. We are ALL throwing our money away to one extent or another. It's a hobby, you/we, like to mod our cars, it's not a need.

What kind of self important prick offers their opinion as a "lesson on GPs" or "information"? It would only be information if it had meaning or relevance to anybody here. And since it obviously doesn't, what you voicing here is your opinion. Again, that's fine, there is nothing wrong with your opinion, you just need to work on your delivery.

You should have expected that people would defend their cars, frankly, you're an idiot if you didn't. If you pulled this crap on svtperformance you would have yourself a new asshole real quick. And the treatment would be the same, your end all be all Galant would be getting a lot of attention. You don't want your car brought up? Don't use it as ammo against the car your bashing.

Like I said before, your argument is apples to oranges. I could flip this **** around on you and say the same thing you're saying. You're waisting you time/money modding a nearly 20 year old jap box, get a better car to mod, like my Cobra....See how irrelevant that is?
